The Linnemann Family Foundation Matching Challenge

Every day we hear stories from patients and families who want access to a Medical Aid-in-Dying law in Ohio. Some people are currently living with terminal illnesses. Others had loved ones who wanted this option, but they were denied the peaceful end they wanted because of where they lived. They all share something in common. They have taken action to make change happen. Jim O’Neil’s someone is his wife Addie, who died of cancer in 2020.

“After watching Addie linger for weeks in hospice, I knew that I needed something to change (Read Addie’s story). So I researched the issues and found Ohio End of Life Options. They are working for the changes that Addie so desperately wished for, and I became a regular monthly donor. No one should have to suffer against their wishes.” – Jim O’Neil

The Linnemann Family Foundation Matching Challenge

Count me in!

Great news! Ohioans stepped up to double their impact with the Linnemann Family Foundation Matching Campaign. With the help of an Anonymous Donor and Crofton Cares, we surpassed our goal and raised $67,000. Crofton Cares’ Mission is, “We support education and healthcare organizations and programs to enhance people’s lives throughout Northeast Ohio and greater Tampa Bay.” Its Core Values are, “We believe every child deserves a strong educational foundation regardless of social or economic circumstances. Furthermore, we know that prevention of disease and the maintenance of health are fundamental to the success of children and families. We support charitable organizations who lend their efforts to these important issues.”

Your support for this critical healthcare issue is what will make change happen in Ohio. We’ve got a lot of work to do, and it will take extensive strategic resources to accomplish the goal of passing a Medical Aid in Dying law for the terminally ill.

Thank you to all who met the challenge. If you haven’t donated yet, please make your gift today so we can expand end-of-life options for our loved ones and ourselves.
